The Commitment Competency: What Leaders Must Say & Do to Get Employees to Care & Try

What happens in the workplace when everyone is committed? Answer: effort, teamwork, innovation, and more.

The most engaged and inspired employees don’t get that way by chance. Research tells us that their commitment is triggered by a series of actions and interactions executed by their direct supervisors.

In other words, commitment can’t be bought. It can only be earned by leaders who possess the knowledge, skills, and beliefs to engineer the kind of work environment that compels employees to give their all.

Drawing on fresh research in employee engagement and workplace psychology, this dynamic, energizing presentation gives senior leaders and front line managers insight into what employees need from their bosses to be at their best, every day.  Joe Mull, M.Ed, CSP outlines the kinds of interactions and environment leaders must engineer to cultivate commitment. Your audience will leave inspired and equipped to #bossbetter.

10:30 – 10:45 Break & Vendor Time
10:45  – 11:45 Increasing your Reimbursement in the Shift to Value Based Payment

In Value Based Payment systems, providers are no longer paid for the volume of work they do. Instead, the system pays providers for the quality and value of the services they deliver. Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) codes, designed to accurately reflect the severity of a patient’s illnesses, can increase your practice’s payment but when used incorrectly can result in penalties.  Learn the proper use of HCC codes to optimize your practice revenue under VBR.

11:45 – 12:30 Lunch
12:30 – 1:30 Lassoing the Horsemen of the Regulatory Apocalypse: HIPAA, OSHA and Opioids

Our practices have more regulatory challenges than ever to reign in.  Our roundtable of experts will seek to breakdown those challenges into next steps that you can take back to your office and implement.

1:30 – 2:30 Legislative and Regulatory Update: What’s on the Horizon

The regulatory and legislative process never ceases.  The Pennsylvania Medical Society will present on what can be expected as new federal and state is developed and how it will impact your practice.

2:45 – 3:45 Practice Manager Shark Tank! Revenue and Innovation
