Find your fit:
Therapist or Life Coach
Both options are confidential and designed for physicians. If you’re unsure where to begin, this guide can help you take the first step.
Therapists
- Licensed professionals (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LPC)
- Licensed to provide clinical mental health care
- Offer evidence‑based approaches (such as CBT, trauma‑informed support, grief counseling, etc.)
- Good fit if you’re experiencing persistent emotional distress, trauma, or burnout

Life Coaches
- Certified professionals focused on growth and performance
- Provide tools for stress management, boundaries, balance, and clarity
- Do not provide clinical treatment
- Good fit if you want strategy, accountability, or performance tools
Coverage
You may use up to 4 sessions total per 12‑month period — across either therapists or life coaches.
If you’d like to continue after 4 sessions, you and your provider can arrange payment or insurance privately.
Quick guidance
- If you’re in acute distress, start with a therapist.
- If you want clarity and structure, a coach may be a great fit.
