Who we are
Established in 1865, the Allegheny County Medical Society (ACMS) is a 501(c)(6) membership-based organization that serves over 2,000 physicians, medical students, and practice administrators in Allegheny County. Tracking its history back to the Civil War, the organization is celebrated as one of the leading professional associations of physicians in the nation and is governed by physician members elected to its Board of Directors.
ACMS provides advocacy, education, professional development, philanthropic support, and networking opportunities that equip providers with the resources they need to deliver quality patient care and find joy and fulfillment in the medical profession.
