Postpartum Health Equity: Bridging Gaps in the Fourth Trimester

Healthy Start, Inc. Pittsburgh and the EMBRACE Maternal Health Research Center are hosting a full-day symposium focused on improving postpartum care and advancing maternal health equity. Titled “Postpartum Health Equity: Bridging Gaps in the Fourth Trimester,” this event will bring together healthcare professionals, community advocates, academics, and policymakers to highlight community-led approaches to care.

The symposium will feature keynote speaker LaTasha Reece, a traumatic stress researcher, lactation educator, postpartum doula, and co-founder of Postpartum Peace of Mind Inc. Attendees can also expect panel discussions, didactic sessions, interactive workshops, and research poster presentations.

This is an excellent opportunity for physicians, healthcare staff, students, and community members to connect, learn, and contribute to building more equitable maternal health systems in the Pittsburgh region.
