Join us for an in-depth Zoom education session focused on evidence-based pain management strategies and updated clinical guidance. This two-module program will provide practical tools and insights to support safe, patient-centered care in today’s evolving clinical landscape.
Module 5: Enhancing Patient-Clinician Communication
Learn how empathetic, respectful communication improves patient outcomes. This module covers motivational interviewing (MI), shared decision-making strategies, integrating patient values and goals into treatment plans, and practical approaches to navigating challenges in chronic pain and substance use care.
Module 6: Pennsylvania Overdose Trends & Harm Reduction
Review Pennsylvania opioid overdose surveillance data, mortality and morbidity trends, and the principles of harm reduction. Participants will identify practical strategies to integrate harm reduction into clinical practice and expand access to naloxone and related services.
