The ACMS Bulletin is entering a new chapter in 2026—with a refreshed quarterly format and expanded digital content—and we’re seeking a Medical Editor and Editorial Board Members to help shape its direction.

Play a key role in guiding themes, reviewing submissions, recruiting contributors, and elevating the voices of physicians across Allegheny County.

Open Roles
Medical Editor (Chair): 3-year renewable term; leads editorial vision and content approval
Editorial Board Members: 3-year renewable term; provide review, topic guidance, and occasional authorship

Who Should Apply?
ACMS members at any career stage—practicing physicians, residents, students, and retired physicians.

Women in Healthcare Committee

Committee Co-Chairs: Prerna Mewawalla, MD & Meilin Young, MD

The ACMS Women in Healthcare Committee has been created to provide a space dedicated to inspiring all ACMS members to support and mentor women physicians; to encourage their interest and active participation in organized medicine; to advance their role in political and legislative advocacy; and to promote women physicians as leaders.

This committee is currently OPEN to new members. If you are interested in joining, please contact Haley Thon

ACMS Foundation Volunteering

Each year, the ACMS Foundation awards grant money to various non-profit organizations in Allegheny County. If you are interested in volunteering with one of these organizations or are looking for an open board position at a local non-profit, please reach out to [email protected] and we will get you connected with the organizations in need.
